The Cricotomy Set is indicated for rapid access to the airway when other maneuvers have failed or cannot be performed: . Sudden complete airway obstruction. . Foreign body airway obstruction refractory to attempts to elimination. . Complete airway occlusion: by mass lesion (tumor, hematoma and abscess). . Severe upper respiratory edema: - Anaphylaxis. - Thermal inhalation injuries. - Caustic ingestion. - Angioedema. . Epiglottitis complicated by severe respiratory compromise and / or respiratory arrest. . Inability to perform intubation, due to: - Bleeding in the upper respiratory tract - Anatomical variants (acquired or congenital). - Regurgitation and / or massive aspiration. - Severe maxillofacial trauma (fractures of the middle part of the face).
